Jodi and Alex' wedding.
Documentary wedding photography
of Jodi and Alex at The Angel Hotel, August 7th 2015
A very relaxed atmosphere at the bridal preps location for Jodi. But even though it seems relaxed on the outside, there were the odd moments of evident emotion and excitement dotted here and there, for example when the make up artist was telling a funny story, and Jodi started crying, joyfully I might add :)
After spending a couple of hours with the bride in the morning, I left for the church in time to catch her arriving in her father's car.
The sun was shining strongly on our heads, those waiting for Jodi to arrive, including the Vicar, as he shaded his head with an order of service, while trying his best (and doing a great job) to smile at people around him. I like the idea myself of the bride being "fashionably late" (not sure she meant to be though), as it builds more tension and anticipation in the atmosphere.
One of my favorite parts of the day is after the ceremony, when the guests are mingling and chatting. This allows me to stand back and capture the real goings on of the day... in the expressions on their faces.
After the ceremony, we all made our way to Abergavenny Castle for canape's, and then onto The Angel Hotel for the reception.
