Adam and Lucy's wedding
Documentary wedding photography
of Adam and Lucy at Canada Lake and Lodge, August 14th 2015
A full day of morning story telling, all through to the evening reception and onwards for Adam and Lucy's wedding.
An "all day wedding" covers the three main chapters of the day; the morning preparations, the ceremony, and reception. But within each chapter there are lots of short stories to be told.
Adam and Lucy's ceremony was held at St Mary's church, a twelfth century building in St Fagons, which unfortunately I was not allowed to take pictures of during the ceremony, which I always respect of course. But we made up for some great shots outside the building under the old Lychgate with guests greeting the bride and groom, and then some confetti madness.
The reception was held at Canada Lakes and Lodge, yes the one with the famous tree swing. I'm not one for cheesy swing shots, that's just not my style, but it didn't take long for guests to start moseying on over there especially after a few drinks, so I could get some natural candid shots of guests enjoying the swing with the sun setting behind.
It was nice to see everybody joining in on the dance floor, after Adam and Lucy's first dance. It was a blast.
Before leaving, I couldn't resist getting one last silhouette shot of the tree swing and guests having fun.
